Celebration Book Club
It is your child’s birthday soon and we would like to invite your child to choose a library book to present to the media center here at school. This donation helps us add popular and frequently-requested titles to our media center’s book collection. The Celebration Book Club (CBC) allows you to celebrate your child’s birthday in a special way and help our media center collection continue to grow. Participation in this optional program involves a $16 donation per book. For this donation, your child may select a new book from a special collection of “celebration” books located in our media center. The inside front cover of the book will have his or her name and birth date or dedication inscribed on a bookplate. Your child also has the honor of being the first to check out the new book and their name added to the wall.
Children have a special appreciation for the books they “select” to add to our media shelves. They enjoy sharing them with their classmates and teacher. These books will remain in our library for all of our students to enjoy for years to come. This is a wonderful way to commemorate a very special occasion and to help our media center maintain a high-quality collection.
If you are interested in participating at this time, please complete the form below and turn it in with your $16 donation. (Checks made payable to: Laurel Park PTA) Our school librarian will help your child select a book on or near his or her birthday. You can also print a copy of this form from the media’s webpage and send it to school at any time. Your generosity will benefit all of our students.
